CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION OVERVIEW
PLEASE NOTE: The Rockland County Bar Association offers CLE Credits to the general bar. The Rockland County Bar Association has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of Continuing Legal Education in the State of New York.
Seminars start at different times, are in different places and at different prices, so note the time and place of each seminar you plan to attend.
Pre-Registration is advised. Not only will it save you money, but also it will guarantee you a handout and other program material. You also will be notified of any changes or cancellations to the program you are attending. You may call the Association to pre-register for the lower admission up to 3:00 p.m. the day of the seminar.
If you pre-pay but are unable to attend you will be refunded the full amount only upon advance notice (before 3:00 p.m. the day of the seminar) of your non-attendance.
You must check in at the registration desk when you enter a CLE program, even if you have pre-registered.
You will receive a blue evaluation form with your handouts. This form must be completed and returned to the Bar Representative at the end of the seminar. These evaluations are summarized and a report based on your evaluations and suggestions is given to the CLE Committee for review and discussion. We are also required by the New York State CLE Board to provide annual summaries of these evaluations in order to continue as an Accredited Provider of CLE programs. Your CLE Certificate will not be issued until the blue evaluation form is received.
You will receive your CLE Certificate containing the name of the seminar, date and CLE credit attained, at the end of the seminar.
