Online CLE’s – Special Notice

We are pleased to announce that we have entered into a new partnership with the Westchester County Bar Association to offer online CLE programs to our Members at reduced rates during the COVID-19 health crisis.  Most of these online CLE’s will be offered via the telecommunications platform “Zoom,” which requires access to either a laptop or a cell phone.  To register for an online CLE, just click on the CLE announcement on the RCBA website main page calendar.  To register you must pay in advance by credit card. Certificates will be issued by the Westchester County Bar Association.

In-person CLE's - Programs are held at various locations, have varying start and end times, and have different costs. Pre-registration is advised. You will save money and be guaranteed the program materials. You will also be notified of any changes or cancellations by email and postings on our website www.rocklandbar.org. You may pre-register for the lower admission fee up to 3:00 p.m. on the day of the seminar for an evening seminar; 5:00 p.m. on the day before for a lunch seminar. You must sign in and out at the registration desk when entering or leaving a CLE program, even if you have pre-registered. You will receive a blue evaluation form with your handouts. This form must be completed and returned to the Bar Representative at the end of the seminar. These evaluations are summarized and a report based on your evaluations and suggestions is given to the CLE Committee for review and discussion. We are also required by the New York State CLE Board to provide annual summaries of these evaluations in order to continue as an Accredited Provider of CLE programs. Your CLE Certificate will not be issued unless the evaluation form is received and you have paid for the CLE. You will receive your CLE Certificate containing the name of the seminar, the date, and CLE credits attained, at the end of the seminar. You must be present for the entire program to receive CLE Credit. Persons who arrive late, depart early or are absent for any portion of the program will not receive credit for the program. It is the responsibility of each attorney to maintain records CLE seminars to certify compliance as part of their biennial registration.
