In May 2023, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, in conjunction with the Rockland County Bar Foundation, established a Juneteenth Essay Scholarship contest open to all senior high school students who either reside in or attend high school in Rockland County.This year, the student with the winning essay will be guaranteed a scholarship of at least $750, and the second-place winner will be guaranteed a scholarship of at least $500.
Our goal is to raise sufficient funds this year to increase the scholarship award.
Therefore, we turn to you, our dedicated, invested members of the Legal Community, to contribute to this worthy cause. It is our duty as professionals to enhance the futures of our diverse students, and we want you to be a part of this important endeavor.
